Trean Insurance’s board of directors has selected the program manager’s president and COO Julie Baron as its new CEO, replacing Andrew O’Brien, who has been appointed as executive chairman.

Baron, who has served as COO since last June, will take over the top role effective July 1. She will also join the specialty underwriter’s board of directors.
