Carpenter Marsh fined $2.2mn over JLT’s Ecuador bribery case

Marsh’s Latin American unit Carpenter Marsh Fac has received a fine of over 8.3bn pesos (~$2.2mn) from Colombian authorities over a transnational bribery case associated with the broker’s business in Ecuador.

Colombia’s Superintendencia de Sociedades said in a statement that Carpenter Marsh collaborated with the authorities throughout the investigation and received a 50% discount on the fine.
