Demotech has written to Florida governor Ron DeSantis and the state’s Senate president and House of Representatives speaker, calling for an immediate special session on Florida market reform, in a March 23 letter seen by this publication.

The ratings agency said that without this, it would downgrade financial stability ratings on several carriers within the coming weeks.
