There is now evidence of inflation of underlying cost drivers or increased risk of inflation in all major non-life insurance lines, according to Gallagher Re.

In a report from the intermediary’s structured solutions team, Gallagher Re said the debate in financial markets had moved on from when inflation would spike to how long it might last, with markets pricing in “pernicious longer-lasting inflation”.
