SiriusPoint chairman and CEO Sid Sankaran has stepped down from the Bermudian (re)insurer’s top role, while activist investor Daniel Loeb has been appointed to the carrier’s board of directors.

The company named former Third Point Re CEO and SiriusPoint ex-president of global distribution Daniel Malloy as interim CEO while it undergoes a search for Sankaran’s permanent successor.
