Allianz: Ukraine war to slow premium income growth over 2022

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will mean global insurance premium income will grow at around 1 percentage point slower over 2022 than predicted, according to Allianz.

In the carrier’s latest Global Insurance Report, it said 2022 had been expected to be a “bumper year” for the industry but that the conflict will negatively impact economic activity and confidence, slowing top-line growth.
