Twia finds sharp improvement in rate adequacy, but rates still fall short

The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (Twia) has determined that current rates in the state remain inadequate for both residential and commercial lines but have vastly improved over the past two years.

Twia found in its 2022 rate adequacy analysis that the association's current rates are inadequate by 15% on the residential side and 11% on the commercial side.
