MGA SageSure has announced the transfer of more than 14,000 South Carolina homeowners' insurance policies from FedNat Insurance to its partner, SureChoice Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (Sure).

Continually increasing losses and legal defense costs threaten to overwhelm Florida-focused carriers. FedNat, one of multiple Florida insurers to face massive challenges leading up to hurricane season, disclosed doubt in April that it could continue to operate.
