Fairfax-owned run-off carrier RiverStone has entered a tentative agreement to acquire Western Property & Casualty Insurance Company for an undisclosed sum, effective this month.

Based in Vermont, Western P&C has served as a captive since 2002 for a group of companies, supporting their automobile liability, general liability and workers’ compensation exposures, on a deductible reimbursement basis.
