AM Best assigns A- FSR to new E&S insurer Palms Specialty

AM Best has given newly formed excess and surplus lines insurer Palms Specialty Insurance a financial strength rating (FSR) of A- and a long-term issuer credit rating of a-, citing a “very strong” balance sheet and adequate operating performance.

The ratings agency also assigned a stable outlook to the carrier’s ratings and noted the firm’s limited business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.
