AM Best has revised the outlook on Assurant and its US P&C subsidiaries to positive from stable, citing a “very strong” balance sheet and “better-than-average” capital formation.

The rating agency affirmed a FSR of A (excellent) and a long-term issuer credit ratings of “a+” (excellent) for Assurant’s US P&C subsidiaries.
