InsurTech Fairmatic has raised $42mn in a Series A funding round amid a poor fundraising backdrop for InsurTechs.

The round was led by Foundation Capital, along with Aquiline Technology Growth.

The company is also backed by angel investors, including Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang; Israeli-American investor Oren Zeev; Hippo Insurance co-founder Assaf Wand and entrepreneur Bill Tai.
