Fema pays out $3.5mn to policyholders, extends renewal grace period

Fema's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policyholders have started receiving funds to assist in their recovery from Hurricane Ian.

As of October 4, Fema said it has received more than 25,000 claims and pushed out over $3.5mn in advance payments in Hurricane Ian affected states.
