RMS pegs Hurricane Ian loss estimate at $53bn-$74bn

RMS has estimated total private market insured losses from Hurricane Ian at $53bn to $74bn, with a best estimate of $67bn.

The risk modeler also estimated that the National Flood Insurance Program could see an additional $10bn in losses from storm surge and inland flooding related to Ian.
