Broker M&A activity down 23% through September: MarshBerry

Year-to-date M&A transactions in the US brokerage sector decreased 23% to 405 transactions compared to the first nine months of 2021, MarshBerry reported in the first set of figures including Q3 dealmaking activity.

The insurance-focused boutique investment bank said there are some signs that the “incredible” run of recent inorganic growth might be slowing down but noted that M&A activity usually picks up in Q4.
