Kemper forecasts $25mn-$30mn in pre-tax net cat losses for Q3 2022

Kemper has reported an estimated $25mn-$30mn in pre-tax net catastrophe losses for the third quarter of 2022, primarily related to Hurricane Ian.

The company said it does not expect to recover any of these losses under its reinsurance programs. It does not anticipate any adverse prior-year development for Q3 2022, the company noted in a press release.
