Former Axis chairman and industry veteran Michael Butt has died.

Axis CEO and president Albert Benchimol paid tribute to the carrier’s former chairman, describing him as a “towering figure and a trailblazer in the industry” after the company announced that he died on 8 February surrounded by loved ones.
