A federal securities class-action lawsuit has been filed against Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and two of its executives in what is expected to be the first of many pieces of litigation against the collapsed firm.

Costs of defending the lawsuit and any potential settlements are likely to eventually fall upon the bank’s D&O insurers.
