Everest has confirmed the appointment of Jaime Chaves to lead its insurance operation in Mexico, subject to regulatory approval, as the company continues with its global build-out.

The announcement follows Inside P&C’s earlier reporting that Everest was launching a primary unit in Mexico spearheaded by Chaves, as it acquired XL’s former local license from Axa XL.
