US insurance leaders urge US, China to stabilize relations in face of Taiwan visit

Maurice “Hank” Greenberg and Evan Greenberg, the leaders of Starr and Chubb, respectively, have called on the presidents of the US and China, Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, to repair and stabilize the relationship between the two countries after a recent deterioration in bilateral relations.

“We call for more robust dialogue now to alleviate the heightened temperature and better manage our many differences,” Starr’s chairman and CEO wrote in an open letter to the presidents.
