Applied Underwriters has hired three surety specialists from Argo to boost the Houston-based unit after its launch early last year.

The New Jersey-based insurer recruited James Bluzard as large contract surety CUO, Chris Raines as VP contract national underwriting officer and Kyle Fuller as VP regional underwriting officer.
