Heavy rainfall and near-record snowpack during the first quarter in the western US, particularly in California, has resulted in an abundance of new vegetation that increases the likelihood of fire risk during peak fire season, according to Gallagher Re.
In a recent report, the broker noted that hot and dry weather in the summer and fall is also a conditional factor.
