Karen Clark & Co (KCC) has estimated the insured loss of hailstorms in Texas this month at more than $1bn.

Between 10 June and 13 June, a stationary frontal boundary from Texas to Georgia divided a humid air mass over Texas from a cooler, drier mass across the central plains and the Midwest.
