Ryan Specialty has paid nearly $255mn for the acquisition of wholesale broker Socius Insurance from private equity house Abry Partners.

Ryan Specialty said the acquisition of the northern California-based wholesaler included a cash consideration of $251.9mn and $2.7mn of class A common stock, according to the firm’s Q2 10-Q.
