Tropical Storm Idalia, after making landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region at Category 3 strength yesterday, has moved along the southeast coast of the US, with storm-surge warnings still in effect for much of the North Carolina coast.

According to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Idalia is 20 miles southwest of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, travelling at 21 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour.
