Tropical Storm Lee to become Cat 4 hurricane; direction remains uncertain

Tropical Storm Lee is set to strengthen to an “extremely dangerous” Category 4 hurricane by the end of the week, although there are no coastal watches or warnings in place as yet.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has forecast that Lee, which at 23:00 AST was around 1,200 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, will become a hurricane by Thursday morning and strengthen to Cat 4 by Saturday.
