Arch-owned Somers Group has tapped John Patin IV as its first chief investment officer, the Bermuda-based reinsurer announced Tuesday.

Patin will oversee Somers’ overall investment strategy and direct its investment managers. He arrives at Somers with more than 20 years of experience managing investments for (re)insurance companies.
