Nationwide is sending out non-renewal notices impacting 10,525 North Carolina personal lines policies up for renewal from December 2023 to July 2024, North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) spokesperson Jason Tyson confirmed to this publication.

Of that number, 5,781 of the policies will be non-renewed based on their risk profile, according to the carrier’s hurricane hazard assessment tool, Tyson said.
