Axis Capital has launched a collateralized casualty reinsurer, Monarch Point Re, alongside partner Stone Point Credit Adviser.

The launch was funded with a $400mn capital raise, which included a $75mn equity investment from a subsidiary of Axis Capital and a $75mn equity investment from Stone Point Credit.
