Progressive’s September underlying combined ratio sequentially improved three points to 88.1%, while its headline CoR improved by 7.5 points to 89.7% in the same period.

Meanwhile, its net cat loss ratio dropped to 1.8% from 4.5% in August. The stock rose nearly 7% today to $153.21
