Inflation finally moderating, but Travelers’ loss trend outlook unchanged: Schnitzer

Travelers CEO Alan Schnitzer said core goods inflation’s impact on loss costs for the carrier’s commercial business is moderating, while medical inflation remains benign.

“Nonetheless, given the duration of relevant liabilities, we continue to incorporate medical inflation and our loss costs based on the higher longer-term trends,” he told analysts during an earnings call.
