White Mountains has struck a deal to buy a majority interest in the Californian homeowners’ MGA Bamboo Ide8 Insurance Services for $285mn.

With the close of the deal, the Bermuda-based industry investor will acquire approximately 70% of Bamboo basic shares outstanding.
