RenaissanceRe has retained a number of Validus Re staff after its takeover of the reinsurer, with key names taking up senior roles including Sven Wehmeyer and Pablo Nunez, this publication understands.

Wehmeyer takes up the role of head of portfolio integration, international, and Nunez is now head of Renaissance Reaseguros, according to updated team listings on RenRe’s website.
