Tuck-in M&A in the broking sector declined 21% to 402 deals in the first nine months of the year, compared to a 29% decline to 142 acquisitions from 201 in the same period of 2022, according to Sica Fletcher’s Agency & Broker Buyer Index. 

The firm reported that acquired revenue year-to-date increased 7% to $1.7bn from a year earlier but noted that one transaction in Q2 skewed the figures this year.
