HCI’s CORE receives certificate of approval to operate in Florida

HCI-sponsored Condo Owners Reciprocal Exchange (CORE) has received its certificate of authority from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Floir) to transact insurance in Florida, after receiving initial operating approval last week.

CORE plans to commence operations in February 2024 by assuming policies representing approximately $75mn of in-force premium from state-backed insurer Citizens.
