Allstate rate increases raise personal auto, homeowners’ written premiums by double digits

Allstate’s 2023 rate increases are expected to raise annualized written premiums by $2.97bn for auto and $1.03bn for homeowners’ insurance, resulting in a premium impact of 11.4% and 10.1%, respectively, CFO Jess Merten has said.

For the month of November, Allstate brand’s auto rate increases totaled $262mn, after implementing $517mn and $1.49bn of rate increases in Q3 and Q2, respectively.
