Travelers targets expansion of cat agg treaty by $1bn-$1.5bn for 2024

Travelers is set to expand its core cat treaty by between $1bn and $1.5bn, in a further sign of increased demand for cat reinsurance coverage at 1 January, this publication can reveal.

Sources said the US carrier is gearing up to add a vast stretch to the limit on its main cat aggregate programme, which last year provided a limit of $2bn beyond an attachment point of $3.5bn.
