Early engagement from the (re)insurance industry is essential in the evolution and deployment of emerging climate technology, as developers seek to avoid falling into a development “valley of death”, according to a report from the Geneva Association.

There is a rising recognition of the “critical role” the insurance industry can play in the commercialisation of climate tech, as heavy industry looks to technological solutions to reduce its sizable contribution to global carbon emissions.
