Big M&A deals are likely to continue on both the broking and underwriting side after a slowdown during the pandemic, Markel co-CEO Richie Whitt has predicted.

The executive said that businesses were still seeking to achieve scale and efficiency and the trend towards M&A is likely to run for the next five to 10 years.
