LGIM drops investment in AIG over thermal coal concerns

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), the asset management arm of mutual insurer Legal & General, is to drop its investment in AIG, citing inaction on climate change issues.

LGIM’s 2021 Climate Impact Pledge reveals AIG is among four companies from which the asset manager – Britain’s largest – will divest.
