P&C reinsurer Ocean Re has sealed a deal to acquire Miami-based reinsurance MGA Insight Re, this publication can reveal.

Following the deal, Insight Re founder and CEO Guillermo Eslava will become Ocean Re CEO in Q2 2023, succeeding Carlos Chamorro who will join the reinsurer’s board of directors as chairman.
