AM Best has announced plans to investigate US fronting companies’ collateral arrangements in the wake of the Vesttoo scandal.

The ratings agency said it is monitoring the evolving Vesttoo situation and reviewing both fronting companies and other insurers that have significant reinsurance counterparty credit risk and reliance on collateral.
