Core Specialty has inked a deal to buy Conifer’s security and alarm business in a bid to continue expanding its operations through strategic acquisitions.

As part of the transaction, the specialty insurer agreed to pay $2.5mn in cash for the exclusive right to underwrite the security and alarm portfolio through October 2025 and for the unit’s renewal rights.
