AIG Q3 GI CoR improves 6.8 points to 90.5% on NA workers' comp reserve releases

AIG improved its combined ratio by 6.8 points to 90.5% in Q3 as the insurer benefited from higher reserve releases during the quarter. 

The carrier’s net favorable reserve development of $210mn was largely driven by its US workers' compensation book, which outweighed reserve charges on its UK casualty and financial lines business.
